Classes & Jobs

Every side of the law is a job. The city needs all of them.

Classes

Civilian — the free life: work, trade, fish, or turn to crime. Police — keep the city honest: tickets, arrests, register collection convoys. Both classes level up separately; class levels grant bonus max health. Changing class costs $100, changing skill $50 (from the settings menu, which takes you back to avatar selection).

The skills

SkillClassWhat you do
DriverCivilianSupply runs (/delivery) that restock the city's shops — treasury-funded fares, $15–40 a run.
Medic—Revive downed players — instantly with a defibrillator, or a 12-second field revive without. $200 a revive.
DoctorCivilianHeal the wounded ($15 per heal) and treat disease. A Doctor License makes you the reliable cure when an outbreak hits.
MechanicCivilianFix broken bicycles ($100 house call) and run a mobile fuel service. A Mechanic License unlocks the hot-car grey market.
OfficerPoliceTickets, arrests ($250), bribes if you're that kind of cop, and register collection runs.
DealerCivilianBuy low, sell high — player-to-player trade (/offer) across the 24/7, weapons and car shops, plus supplying ammo to on-duty cops.
Con ArtistCivilianPickpocketing and carjacking. High risk, capped rewards, constant heat.
BurglarCivilianShop robberies and carjacking — the loot-bag-and-getaway life.
Encounter Specialist—Combat-focused: bounty and hit contract work.

Civilian licenses

Buy a profession license at City Hall (/buylicense [skill]). A license is a scarce premium credential: it lets you practice that profession on any skill and unlocks the profession's premium loop.

LicenseUnlocks
Driver ($5,000)Drive cars on any skill, run license-gated /delivery supply runs, and earn a 5% cut chauffeuring a cop.
Dealer ($750)Sell to players and buy at scaling discounts (5%→10% across the 24/7, weapon and car shops). Unlicensed dealers get a flat 4% and can't sell.
Doctor ($1,200)The only 100%-safe cure in an outbreak — revive & cure downed carriers with no risk. Unlicensed medics have a 60% chance to catch the disease themselves. Heal on any skill.
Mechanic ($800)The hot-car grey market — buy stolen cars from thieves (/acceptcar), then chop them or let the owner buy them back. Do mechanic work on any skill.

Hot jobs — scarcity pays

The fewer players working a role, the more that role earns. If you're the only medic online, your revives pay 2×. The multiplier scales down as more players take the job (1 worker → 1.5×, 2 → 1.25×, 3 → 1.1×). Check /jobs any time to see which roles are hot — the 🔥 badge on your HUD means your current job is in demand right now.

Design intent: a 50-player server with no medic makes the first person who switches to medic genuinely rich. The city always needs at least one of everything.

Skill XP

Every job action earns skill XP — deliveries, revives, arrests, repairs, sales, catches. Higher skill levels improve your job's rates (a Level 10 Driver earns 1.5× fares; higher-level thieves succeed more often). Your class also levels alongside, granting permanent bonus max HP.

Middle-mouse skill actions

Your skill's signature action is on Middle Mouse — medics revive the downed, mechanics fix the nearest bike, officers ticket (or arrest, while aiming), thieves pickpocket, and a wanted player can offer a cop a bribe. One button, context-aware. See Controls.
